Alberta public-data explainer · Founded March 11, 2026

Welcome to Albertalytics.

Alberta's separation debate is full of heat, but most people are still missing the basic map. What does Alberta produce, where does money go, what powers already exist, and what would actually have to change under different futures?

This project is an attempt to answer those questions with public numbers, source links, and explicit assumptions. It is not a loyalty test. It is a map.

Some views show historical data. Others model scenarios. Both matter, but they are not the same thing. We try to separate receipts from estimates so you can see where the hard facts end and the assumptions begin.

Stay, reform, decentralize, or separate: each path has trade-offs. The point here is to make those trade-offs legible enough that regular people can inspect them for themselves.

Start with the data, then decide what you think it means.
